Cebuano hardcore act stab. have premiered their sophomore single titled “feign.”
The nearly four-minute track builds on the rage of their debut track, “watchyoudie.” In true stab. hardcore fashion, the song includes fast-paced drums, powerful vocals from frontwoman Irish Alcano, and haunting distorted guitars.
Just recently, the quintet performed at PRY’s Resignation Letter launch held last November 23. They joined fellow punk, hardcore, and shoegaze acts like Tiger Pussy, Nervevineturbine, Awkward Dancer, Gleam, and more.
In other news, “watchyoudie” was recently named as one of Coast2Coast‘s 25 best VisMin songs of 2024. In a review of the track, we wrote, “Self-described ‘Juana Osmeña Hardcore’ band stab. have made waves all over the country with their stellar debut single ‘watchyoudie’ — and for good reason. ‘watchyoudie’ is burgeoning with female rage, all the way from the iconic Ruth Langmore quote at the beginning of the track to frontwoman Irish Alcano’s powerful vocals. Stab. is making their way into becoming one of Cebuano hardcore’s finest.”
