Members of Cagayan de Oro’s music scene will be gathering at the Ayala Malls Centrio Activity Center this December 6 for MADE in CDO’s ‘Tive Talk: Music, a roundtable discussion that aims “to share experiences, insights, and ideas on how we can collaborate to further elevate local music.”

The event was made in collaboration between local production house Indie CDO, MADE in CDO, the Department of Trade and Industry, and the Cagayan de Oro City local government. ‘Tive Talk: Music is one of the different events under MADE in CDO which aims to exhibit and give a platform to local makers, artisans, manufacturers, designers, and the like. Check out the full list of events and exhibits via the KaMi Creative Council’s Facebook page.

The key speakers for the event include Miguel Pelaez Mejia of production house Komunidad, Munchkin Dirige-Ouano of Indie CDO, Karl Aguro of Uncurated Studio, Corridor Music Group’s Jed Duo, Rising City Hardcore’s Pam Renabor, John Paul Derequito of Eggmen Productions, Radley Adams V. In other news, Cyber Band’s “Through the Passages of Time” was recently named as one of Coast2Coast‘s 25 best VisMin songs of 2024. In a review of the song, we wrote, “To say that Cagayan de Oro’s Cyber Band are talented musicians would be a grave understatement. The title track of their recent album, Through the Passages of Time, is as experimental as it gets. For 23 straight minutes, you get this anthemic, dissonant, intense feast for the ears. There really is nothing else to say except that this track is an audio rollercoaster in all the right ways.”
