The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 7 Central Visayas is wrapping up their nearly month-long Fiesta Haraya Bai celebration this December 6 to 8 at Ayala Central Bloc, Cebu City.

The Fiesta Haraya Bai Fair serves as the culminating event for a series of exhibits, gigs, showcases, and workshops from the creative industry in the Central Visayas region.

Among the events this weekend is the Cebu Music Business Expo, where music industry professionals from Cebu and Manila will give a series of talks about music export, music business, music production, and the like. The Expo will happen at 2 PM on December 8 at The Company in I.T. Park.

The lineup of speakers includes music producers Duanne Ansula and D Andre Smith; Filla Killa co-founder and Mandaue Nights member Karl Lucente; and Gee Tolsa of Rverb Cebu. The event will be hosted by Paolo Avila and moderated by R&B artist Trevor Sederiosa.

Other music-themed events this weekend include 22TangoRecords and Room 11 Studio’s Musika Haraya grand showcase, where singer-songwriters will perform original compositions created during the Musika Haraya music education workshop. The Musika Haraya compilation album is set to be released soon.

Kadasig and Vispop founder Jude Gitamondoc will also be going behind the scenes of his latest original musical, Hopeless Romantics: The Musical this December 7 at the Corte Garden of Ayala Central Bloc. The musical is “a nostalgic journey” back to the days of young heartache and unrequited love.
