Dumaguete-based singer-songwriter Chelsea Dawn made a poignant comeback on New Year’s Day with her latest single, “Another Story.”
The dreampop track was made in collaboration with The Midnight Greetings’ Redd Layne Odilao. “Another Story” marks her first standalone release since 2023’s “Butterfly.” In a Facebook post commemorating the release of her latest single, the artist also revealed that a music video for the track will be premiering on January 3, 12 noon Philippine time.
Last year, she teamed up with Cebuano band Coloura and Indonesia’s lightcraft for “Coming Home.” In a press release for the track, Chelsea Dawn shared that lightcraft were “very easy to talk to.”
“They were clear about what they wanted and they pretty much let us be our authentic selves.”
Jake Relacion of Coloura added,”I loved the overall process of making the song…The people involved in the process had a lot of ideas to share to make the song as intricate as it is.”
