Cebuano singer-songwriter Wiji Kun is back with his first single of the year aptly titled “2025 or whatever.”
The single follows a slew of releases from 2024, including the tracks “No,” “Go Home,” and “October.” “Go Home” was featured on Coast2Coast’s list of the 25 best songs of 2024. In a review of the song, we wrote: “This track has unquestionably become [our] 2024 go-to, with a melody that’s irresistibly catchy and stayed with [us] for weeks. It’s invigorating to hear pop-punk reclaiming its place in the city’s music scene.”
In other news, Wiji Kun performed at the recently concluded Soft Afterhours last December, where he was joined by The Sundown bandmate Vincent Eco; indie pop band HNT; as well as local Cagayan de Oro acts evita, Paid, Eeyan Paolo, and Francis Cang.
